14th Mar: Having spent quite a time at MHR (including their Pre-Spring Gala in Feb), LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 #45231 'The Sherwood Forester' is heading back to Southall (and maybe further North later ?) today. 5Z77 from Alton to Southall Loco Services Ltd at the usual location to capture the loco coming back from Alton, Ash Vale-Brookwood. The small car park area to access this bridge (like the small car park area we used to have to access the Burnhouse Bridge at Pirbright) was demolished presumably by MoD and unavailable anymore. Extra time may be required to find the place to safely and legally park the car and take a walk !
