27th Apr: Standing in for unavailable A4 Number 9 (firebox failure), LMS 5MT Black Five 4-6-0 #45212 was working on THE GREAT BRITAIN XI (Day 9 of 9) from Swanage to London Victoria 1Z27. Starting from a fantastic summer-like sunny hot day on 19th Apr (powered by Flying Scotsman), this year's GB-XI was ended under some usual British more-than-typical April weather. I was expecting some sort of exhaust under the chilly temperature but the steam was completely shut off unfortunately. The biggest shame, however, was that #45212 might have not yet her mechanical interface implemented to put the GB-XI headboard ! Class 37 #37668 was on the rear. Guildford-Worplesdon.
