14th Jul: SR Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 #35028 'Clan Line' BELMOND BRITISH PULLMAN from Shalford to London Victoria 1Y88. Unusual (?) hot summer day still continues. I really do not remember when was the last time we got typical British rainy day. As a result of that, undoubtedly, possible fire risk by running steam engines along mainlines could become an issue. Diesel assisted (BBP livery Class 67 #67024) to minimise the risk can be a sensible solution for us rather than complete steam ban. I suppose this is my first time to see Class 67 is tucked behind Clan Line. Seen here at the Betchworth station.
