19th Dec: BR Britannia Class 7MT 4-6-2 #70013 'Oliver Cromwell' THE CATHEDRALS EXPRESS 1Z82 from London Victoria to Bath Spa. Bramley [Hants]-Basingstoke. After her almost 8 minutes signal stop shortly before joining the South Western Main Line, Oliver Cromwell was blasting up to regain the speed of the train. The long signal stop also brought a bonus to quite a few (I assume) local people passed by with their smart phones who enjoyed the unexpected (?) steam Christmas surprise.
