2nd Jul: LNER B1 4-6-0 No. 61306 'Mayflower' THE SUNSET STEAM EXPRESS 1Z85 2049 Chertsey to London Waterloo. Since 4th Jun, Steam Dreams is organising 3 runs from London Waterloo to Windsor Eton Riverside (called "THE ROYAL WINDSOR STEAM EXPRESS") and one evening run around the Surrey Hills, London Waterloo-Chertsey-London Waterloo circular tour on every Tuesday. The timing of the evening Surrey Hill tour is quite late, so my plan was to try around the Summer Solstice (I could not make it on 19/26th June). Mayflower was running on time but it was too dark already (also 1/100 down grade to Dorking Deepdene would not help to use slower shutter speed). I actually haven't tried 3 daytime runs to Windsor and to capture it is one of my action items in this summer. Class 47 No. 47245 was on the rear. Dorking West.
