1st Jun: LNER A3 Class 4-6-2 No. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' STEAM DREAMS EXCURSION 1Z03 from London Victoria to Salisbury. I thought the Sun is on my side. In fact I often made my wrong prediction at this location despite I am doing "brief" homework to find out the direction of the Sun for the given the time of passage (taking account of it is in BST or in GMT now) and the bearing of the railway line by OS map. But obviously it seems "brief" is not good enough. Perhaps I can prepare a tool in my computer to do this work slightly more accurately. Virginia Water-Chertsey.
