29th Feb: This looks usual Class 165 DMU service between Reading and Redhill but it sounds this is a special train with headcode 1Z29 to commemorate railway veteran guard Henry Wicks who died by a devastating derailment on the line between Gomshall and Chilworth on Monday 29 February 1892. His duagter-in-law Jessie Wicks set a pheasant-shaped lineside memorial topiary known as "Jessie's Seat". I believe the topiary is still there. No. 165124 1Z29 from Reading to Redhill passing through Dorking West. Because of the perfect timing synchronised with 2V62 running 2 late by No. 165112, my frame did not go as planned but I think it was backed-up OK.
