16th May: No. 12 "Sarah Siddons" movement 2Z82 from Eastleigh to West Ruislip was originally scheduled on 9th May. I was looking forward to seeing it then suddenly RTT reported "This service was cancelled throughout due to a request by the customer (FL)" about at 10am if I remember correctly. Today, 2Z82 should depart Eastleigh at 10:45 but actually departed at 11:58 or 73 minutes late. But this delay was welcomed by me because I could capture 2Z02 (from Exeter St Davids to Kensington Olympia) at near Woking together without waiting much gap time. Then RTT's update of 2Z82 was frozen at Wallers Ash Loop and soon received the info saying "2Z82 failed with hot box on Sarah Siddons in Wallers Ash Loop" ! I gave up and went back to the work then another info "Now on the move. 73s both on the front." was received at shortly before 2pm. I gambled to dash near Woking where perhaps the closest location from my work. Thanks to careful slow running (of 2Z82 not my car), I just managed to capture 2Z82 consisting of GB Railfreight Class 73s 73119 73128 with Inspection Saloon LT45029 "17 Florence Nightingale" and No.12 "Sarah Siddons". 165 min late. What a hectic day ! As a result of that, obviously I had to work until late to make up my working time !
