12th Aug: LNER A1 Class 4-6-2 #60163 'Tornado' BELMOND BRITISH PULLMAN Victoria-Shalford-Victoria Circular 1Y82 Dorking Deepdene. Not as high as the last time (24.4 degrees Celsius at Charlwood at 3PM today) but I suspect Tornado is the one who brings the Summer to the Surrey Hills. She was absolutely flying under the superb weather perhaps with a bit of help from very long (4 miles) descent (about 1 in 100). In fact, this is my first picture of the Surrey Hills Pullman at the Dorking Deepdene station.
