2nd Jul: LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 #45699 'Galatea' THE COTSWOLD VENTURER 1Z46 from London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill. Standing in for unavailable Oliver Cromwell and running in the fantastic early summer morning sunlight is Galatea at West Drayton. Galatea was running a few minutes early and 2P14 from Reading to London Paddington was running a few minutes late that yet again made me nervous. I felt Galatea speeded up and 2P14 slowed down for fotters not to ruin the show. Maybe just a coincident perhaps.
