4th Oct: SR West Country 4-6-2 No. 34046 'Braunton' The Golden Arrow (Saphos Trains) 1Z88 0530 Peterborough to Canterbury West. Class 47 No. 47805 [D1935] was on the rear. Due to the ASLEF train strike, no service trains were running at Paddock Wood. Braunton was on her own way to Canterbury. Hard to believe the last time I visited Paddock Wood was in 2017. It was reported that the return leg (1Z90) departed Canterbury West 100 minutes late due to the delayed coal/water delivery.
