17th Aug: The test train running on the Shinkansen is famous and known as "Doctor Yellow" (as it is a bullet train but painted in yellow and "Dokutaa" or Doctor in Japanese is often referred as "Medical Doctor" not "PhD"). But this is a rare test train used along conventional Japanese railway gauge (1067mm) lines, a set of KI-YA 141 and KI-KU-YA 141. Perhaps I was quite lucky to see and capture such a rate train at the Hamasaka station by totally coincidence. Unauthorised nickname of this train is "Doctor WEST" as this is owned by JR (Japan Railways) WEST.
