23rd May: LMS Coronation Class 8P 4-6-2 #46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' THE OXFORDSHIRE EXPRESS from Manchester Victoria to Didcot Parkway (Steam hauled from Derby to Didcot) 1Z52 Oxford-Radley. The footbridge at South Hinksey was quite busy by enthusiasts to see the Duchess. The traffic along M25 and M4 (Nav suggested to take M40 but the traffic along M25 was very bad so I took M4 but this decision wasn't good choice neither) was horrible so one point I thought I could not make it. In the end, 1Z52 itself was more than 20 late so I had no problem ! The last time I visited this spot was on 8th Nov 08 to see GREAT WESTERN ECHOES.
