2010 mainline steam trains. There were quite a few engine failures in this year. Sadly I could not see #34067 ‘Tangmere’ at all throughout of the year. In May, unbelievably both #35028 ‘Clan Line’ and #70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ had failed. Even newly born #60163 ‘Tornado’ had a problem in summer and had to be out from main line duties for a while. Thanks to Black 5s came down to the South to help the failed engines, I greatly enjoyed to see their hard works until the very end of the year. I am extremely glad ‘Clan Line’ managed to come back in December and showed her powerful run along Surrey Hills again. Hope ‘Tangmere’ and ‘Oliver Cromwell’ get well soon.
