6th and 7th Apr 16: My second visit to the Brecon Mountain Railway. It was 31st Aug 06 when I visited there last time. Ten years ago, the train terminated at a passing loop near Dol-y-Gaer but now the line was extended to reach Torpantau. The engine working hard to climb up the steep gradient was #2 [#61269] USA Baldwin Loco, same engine I saw 10 years ago. Also my attempt to find the former Brecon and Merthyr Railway Torpantau Tunnel (aka Beacons Tunnel) that was the highest standard gauge tunnel above sea level in GB (1313 ft) was succeeded this time !
